The past year+ has been challenging and confusing as safety guidelines have changed rapidly and people have been divided over what and who they believed (or didn’t believe). Much of that is now hopefully behind us, but here is an UNCHANGING principle for the Church: “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” (Romans 12:10 NIV) Whatever happens…whatever is asked of us, our attitudes and actions should show that we truly love and honor each other.
The CDC has lifted mask and distancing restrictions for those who are fully vaccinated and we want to reflect that freedom in our facilities. These individual are free to come and go and worship without a mask if they wish. We ask that everyone be kind and gracious about the personal preferences of others in this regard. As you approach people, with or without mask, pay attention to their body language and honor any physical distancing or boundaries they seem to indicate. Common sense would still have anyone not feeling well, with a fever or any other illness symptoms staying home for the sake of others.
We will continue to offer a livestream of our worship services for those who still have concerns, or who cannot be with us in person for any reason. The service will go live on YouTube at 10AM Sunday morning. You can watch the service here- ‘Watch’@Olivetefc.org
